Description

Escaping from the colder winters in our mountain town, Flagstaff Arizona, to the warmer Verde Valley is but an hour's drive, a bit longer down to Deadhorse Ranch State Park. There, the cottonwood trees retained their autumn foliage, sheltering gorgeous birds like this Say's Phoebe. I took this image with a 150-400mm lens (at 360mm) on an OM-1 camera, ISO 5000 1/2500s f/9.0, on November 13, 2023.
