Description
On a delightful visit to Tucson and the T. Botanical Gardens, we spent time in the Butterfly Pavilion. Docents made sure that all visitors knew we were in the presence of an Asian Atlas moth, pictured here with its diagnostic moth-feature (hairy or fuzzy antennae). This species is a silk moth and sports a wingspan of 25 cm. In the hot and humid butterfly tent, I was shooting with a 30mm Olympus macro lens on an E-M1 Mark II camera, ISO 4000 1/1000s f/4.0. In post, I darkened the moth's background-context, as I am wont to do.
