Description
The San Francisco Peaks are part of a large volcanic field that has been central to those who have lived in northern Arizona for millennia. I watched the sun set in July 2022 from 9100 feet above sea level, part way up the highest places in that field, over the “softer, gentler” side of the field, in bright but increasingly softer colors. I created the panorama by taking three exposures with my wide-angle lens and merging them into a single image.

Wow, you've really captured quite the view here. Love that light peeking beneath the clouds, really shows off the smooth hazy landscape layers below!
