Artist's Description

To me, This rabbit’s gaze has the look of wisdom. I can’t quite call it a bunny. I took the photo on 9/30/22 on Thompson Creek Trail with a 300mm prime lens on my OM-1 mirrorless Olympus camera. This photo is the same as the “eyes-only” photo. The difference is a matter of more and less cropping. Note: People who spoke with me on the trail said the rabbit is well known and friendly. I experienced that.

About Jim Wilce

Jim Wilce

I am a nature and wildlife photographer specializing in landscapes such as panoramas, trees in context, and animals in action or interaction! You could call me a "-scape" photographer, doing land-, cloud-, tree, and even snag-scapes, and I love capturing birds on gorgeous trees in gorgeous cloud- and land-scapes. Whether at home in Flagstaff or traveling to other parts of Arizona, southern California, or occasionally further afield (Texas, Missouri, and South Dakota most recently, I am never without my camera. My aim is to capture for viewers my encounters with the natural world that are so important and fulfilling. I shoot with Olympus gear, including an OM-1 and OM-D E-M1 II, and Olympus/OM lenses— a 40-150mm, a 300mm prime, a 30mm...
