I took this photo shortly after sunrise on February 8, 2022, at Frank G. Bonelli Park, Los Angeles County, with a friend. I used my own Olympus OM-D, E-M1 Mark II camera, with a borrowed 100-400mm Panasonic-Leica lens (ISO 800 f/5.1 1/200s). My loved ones and I agree that the feathers in the water, with reflection, remind us of a bridal gown. The ethereal quality of the photo also brings to mind sacred ritual.
I am a nature and wildlife photographer specializing in landscapes such as panoramas, trees in context, and animals in action or interaction! You could call me a "-scape" photographer, doing land-, cloud-, tree, and even snag-scapes, and I love capturing birds on gorgeous trees in gorgeous cloud- and land-scapes. Whether at home in Flagstaff or traveling to other parts of Arizona, southern California, or occasionally further afield (Texas, Missouri, and South Dakota most recently, I am never without my camera.
