I love the way this fine art photograph captures the drama of a single living entity, of a dead tree still standing, of sunsets as day-ends and new-days-promised, and more. I shot it on April 24, 2023 as I was wrapping up a photo shoot in Wupatki and Sunset Crater National Monuments, northeast of my home in Flagstaff, Arizona. I used a 12-40mm lens mounted on an OM-1 (OM System / Olympus) camera, ISO 3200 1/320s f/8 focal distance 40mm. Post-production was in Adobe Lightroom and Topaz AI
