If asked what animals fight, or which animal fights would make compelling photos, squirrels do not come to mind. But here they are, I believe in the 2023 mating season, one leaping onto the other, claws at the ready. On That was the scene in our back yard in Flagstaff Arizona, which is full of boulders, creating the perfect habitat for ROCK squirrels. The date was June 16, 2023 (8 a.m.).
I took this photograph using a 300mm prime lens mounted on an OM-1 camera, ISO 3200 1/3200s f/5.6
