Landing on a flower (echinacea) used as a natural cure for the common cold, this butterfly could be imagined as asking whether the medicine might extend its brief life. Indeed the butterfly is a Question Mark (Polygonia interrogationis). Plant and insect joined up in our yard in Flagstaff, Arizona, where I took the photo using a 300mm prime lens on an OM-1 mirrorless camera, ISO 1250 1/400s f/10.
