Rarely does one see mountains lighting up in pink, even when sunsets can indeed take on such hues. But that is what happened on July 27, during Arizona's 2023 monsoon, which was active to say the least. I captured the moment with a 40-150mm lens mounted on an OM-D E-M1 Mark II Olympus mirrorless camera, ISO 200 1/10s f/6.3, focal distance 50mm.
I am a nature and wildlife photographer specializing in landscapes such as panoramas, trees in context, and animals in action or interaction! You could call me a "-scape" photographer, doing land-, cloud-, tree, and even snag-scapes, and I love capturing birds on gorgeous trees in gorgeous cloud- and land-scapes. Whether at home in Flagstaff or traveling to other parts of Arizona, southern California, or occasionally further afield (Texas, Missouri, and South Dakota most recently, I am never without my camera. My aim is to capture for viewers my encounters with the natural world that are so important and fulfilling.
