Description

This is my first foray into Abstract Fine Art Photography! The photo leaves the butterfly, a Painted Lady, untouched while I make its floral context into a canvas of its own. (The flowers happen to be yellow goldenrod and pink and orange echinacea.) The original photo was taken at the Museum of Northern Arizona's Colton Gardens (Flagstaff AZ) on August 4, 2023. I was shooting with a 40-150mm lens mounted on an Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II mirrorless camera, ISO 200 1/250s f/7.1 with a focal distance of 150mm. I digitally altered the photo in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom Classic.
