On February 5, 2024, I visited one of my favorite photographic locations in northern Arizona, McMillan Mesa in Flagstaff. I had to dash out of the house to be there in time to capture a beautiful dawn! The final panoramic image results from four photographs stitched together in Lightroom Classic. I was using a 40-150mm lens on an Olympus E-M1 Mark II mirrorless camera, on a tripod, ISO 2500 1/250s f/7.1 focal distance 50mm.
I am a nature and wildlife photographer specializing in landscapes such as panoramas, trees in context, and animals in action or interaction! You could call me a "-scape" photographer, doing land-, cloud-, tree, and even snag-scapes, and I love capturing birds on gorgeous trees in gorgeous cloud- and land-scapes. Whether at home in Flagstaff or traveling to other parts of Arizona, southern California, or occasionally further afield (Texas, Missouri, and South Dakota most recently, I am never without my camera. My aim is to capture for viewers my encounters with the natural world that are so important and fulfilling.
