Two species met atop echinacea flowers. No doubt the apparent fencing fails to capture what is really happening as the two insects cross antennae. The act might well be peaceable. In any case, my eye and thus my lens caught this as a compelling and attractive moment in the life of our yard in this high season for insects (August 3, 2023, Flagstaff Arizona).
I am a nature and wildlife photographer specializing in landscapes such as panoramas, trees in context, and animals in action or interaction! You could call me a "-scape" photographer, doing land-, cloud-, tree, and even snag-scapes, and I love capturing birds on gorgeous trees in gorgeous cloud- and land-scapes.
