I was anxious for this event, Fireworks at the Rodeo Grounds, City of Williams, Arizona, on July 4, 2022, giving me the opportunity to use a computational photography setting called Live Composite for fireworks. The photograph was taken with a 40-150mm lens mounted on an Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II mirrorless camera, This particular explosive moment reminds me, in its complexity, of a spider's web.
I am a nature and wildlife photographer specializing in landscapes such as panoramas, trees in context, and animals in action or interaction! You could call me a "-scape" photographer, doing land-, cloud-, tree, and even snag-scapes, and I love capturing birds on gorgeous trees in gorgeous cloud- and land-scapes. Whether at home in Flagstaff or traveling to other parts of Arizona, southern California, or occasionally further afield (Texas, Missouri, and South Dakota most recently, I am never without my camera. My aim is to capture for viewers my encounters with the natural world that are so important and fulfilling.
