Artist's Description

This moving testament to winged flight was shot near my home in Flagstaff, Arizona— at Frances Short Pond, home to herons and ospreys as well as smaller birds. I took the photo with my Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II, taking full advantage of its ability to capture the moment of takeoff.
